I’m not entirely sure if you still check the comments of this blog, but I’d be interested in an invite, if possible. I’ve been seriously considering getting this game but am very wary of new MMOs. Would like to get a trial run of it before spending the money.

Bought the box last night. I’m liking what I see so far, especially the cloning and shared bank. Plenty of exploration, I see robots around (crafting ability??), and the ability to polymorph (spy ability I think). The clincher was the level 30 I saw with a ‘wicked kewl blade, dude’!
Thanks again for the trial key, and I encourage anyone out there to try this game out. It’s very immersive, very few loading screens thus far. The community seems pretty helpful, altho there’s more pissing contests in general chat than I’d like to see. I hope to join a mature clan soon so as to not have to witness this weirdness so much.

I couldn’t log into wordpress at whoever’s site that was… so I’ll answer your question about PotBS character creation here.

He was meaning that customizing the actually skills and whatnot is wow like. There are talents trees and branches to be filled for both land and sea combat.

But character customization wise, PotBS is the Piratical equivalent of CoH for sure. Everything from head to toe is customizeable. And if you ever want to change the look, just head to a tailor to do so. Very, very, in depth.

The only thing missing is body resizing.
